Meow! Come here, quick!
I need to show you something. Come closer.
Remember that awful cat I was talking about?
No, not me. I’m talking about that long-hair roaming around the neighborhood.
She goes by the name…
…of Marshmallow.
Hey, don’t be laughing now.
I’ll have you know, Marshmallow is one bad ass kitty.
Now, where is that scoundrel?
I swear on a crunchy treat. I saw her just a second ago.
Is that her?
Yes, that’s her. I see you now.
Marshmallow!
MeOW! I’m not going to let you keep terrorizing my ‘hood, Marshmallow!
I will…
ENSORCEL YOU!
I need my magical ingredients to cast a curse upon her.
Ah, yes, my spell pouch.
I know I left the lizard’s tongue in here somewhere.
There we go. And one rat tail.
And *pawpawpaw* where is the last ingredient? I know I left one in here!
Aha! Found my grasshopper wings.
*munchmunchmunch* The lizard’s tongue was tasty at least.
Now, you will suffer my curse upon you…
Marshmallow!
You will rue the day you crossed paths, with … the Little Chomper.
First, the mystical paw movements, to collect the magical dark energy around me.
And now… the spell!
I cast a curse upon the cat, the cat that roams my street.
I cast a curse upon that brat, that brat with such conceit.
Purr! I feel the dark magic flowing deep within my furry body!
Go forth, spirits of the underworld. Raise your claws and strike the final blow!
Bring doom upon my arch nemesis…
MARSHMALLOW!
Now I just have to wait.
I will soon hear the caterwauls of a helpless long-hair, begging for my mercy.
I will enjoy her suffering greatly.
From the safety of my trusty box, I will ignore her pleas, and await her demise.
Yes, I admit, I can be an evil cat, but you have to understand, Marshmallow was very mean to me.
Cats tend to hold grudges.
But perhaps you don’t understand. I wouldn’t expect you to.
Luna, what eggsacktly DID Marshmallow do to you, that you wish to see them dead?

Luna has actually had angry episodes ever since she encountered Marshmallow on the driveway. It ended her outdoor walks in the harness. Lots of hissing.

Bah, hissing is nothing but hurling insults at each other … not a reason to wish somebody else dead.

So it was not even Marshmallow who was hissing but mostly Luna. Marshmallow may just have wanted to give her a sniff …

Today I have a very important question for your hoomin Luna. What camera / lens does he use for your photos? 😮

I use an RX100M3 and often, especially if moving would disturb her, the iPhone 5s in my pocket 🙂

Very good photos. I have a Sony a55 and am trying to find a new lens good for cat photos. I have. 18 – 55mm and a 50mm prime lens

Thanks! If I were in your shoes, I’d get as fast a prime lens as possible. I don’t think telephoto is important for your own house cat. Light has always been the bottleneck for me. But if you take pictures of outdoor cats, or have to keep your distance, maybe it’s not the same. You can also try replacing the cat to match the lens. Oops. I just typed that, didn’t I?

Haha xD. I’m thinking of getting a second prime lens a 35 or 30mm just because 50 can be “too close” in the living room

Yeah, that brings up another point. Sometimes I need to get pretty close for those shots of Luna near the window or some little box. I generally go for the iPhone when my RX100M3’s widest angle isn’t enough. But unless it’s lit brightly, it’s bad quality.

I may end up getting another camera too. Just saw the sony a77 ii 😦

If you get that camera, you have no excuse for bad pictures anymore. Are you sure you want that pressure?

LOL. Too late… I just ordered the a77 mark ii xD I found an unbelievable deal from Germany with free shipping to my office in the UK. 😉

And just to be explicit… the lens is built in… I try to zoom in as far as I can, for the blurring, but since Luna is strictly indoors, I’m normally fighting for as much light as I can, and I keep her near windows staying near the max f/1.8 aperture. There are more forgiving cameras that you can choose, with bigger sensors… even full frame. But the camera still fits in a pocket, and I leave a micro tripod attached to the bottom, for exposures longer than 1/60 second. Luna is good at staying still long enough to give me a fighting chance.

My secondary camera is a cyber shot you can attach to a mobile phone. 🙂
