Oh, I’m still here?
Well, this day is shot. I should move to the other bed.
I suppose it’s not safe out there… outside of my blanket. The last thing I need is to be kidnapped by some crazy Brazilian.
I’m an ultra-cute cat, to be fawned upon and enjoyed by millions, but, on the Internet, a cat’s gotta be careful about where she sticks her paws.
Or else…
That could happen to me too.
I mean, here is this human girl, a fellow blogger in the WordPress community, who goes by the moniker “Princess Kickass” …
She doesn’t write about cats much.
But she still feels it’s her prerogative to steal me.
That’s right. She said she’s going to kidnap me. She was warned multiple times that … well, I don’t like people, but she’s convinced it’s worth a try.
Imagine, me, an innocent little kitten, stolen away into some strange village in South America.
I bet the litter boxes swirl in the opposite direction there.
I request this imagery be scrubbed from my eyes.
Purr!
But the Internet isn’t all that bad for me. I wouldn’t spend so much time online if I didn’t have so many trustworthy companions.
I certainly have a lot of great friends on Quora.com … It’s where it all started for me!
But one of my new, most trusted buddies… is another cat, named Carol.
I mean, how can you not trust a face like that? While Scott actually manages my blog for me, Carol is a much more hard-working cat, doing all the work herself.
It’s a lot of work. The type of work that humans are used to doing.
Sometimes I worry that she forgets she’s a cat.
Cats weren’t made to lift their paws so much.
And…
*YAWN*
She has lots of other animals in that house too. Other cats, and dogs too.
She probably has to deal with them all walking on her keyboard.
As if typing with paws isn’t hard enough.
Even thinking about all that work makes me sleepy.
Yeah… I feel it coming on…
3… 2… 1…
The world has disappeared again.
I can only hope I don’t wake up in Brazil.

Luna, the Little Chomper 
Looks like Luna is feeling better. That’s good! She reminds me very much, in appearance, of my cat Teeger. Teeger is the first cat I’ve ever met who loved to have her entire face scratched. Not just ears or chin but a full out whole face scratch. I hope Luna had better dreams this afternoon.

Like all afternoons, she spends it whining for dinner. Now that she has her dinner, we won’t see her again for a couple of hours. This is why we think of her as ungrateful, but I suppose she tires herself out with all that nagging and has to recuperate 🙂 Teeger sounds cute too!

To see one picture of Teeger, if you are curious, you can go to my blog “A Smokey Gray Kitten”. My cat, Smokey, dictated the story to me. At the very end she reluctantly shared a picture of Teeger. You see Teeger is four to Smokey’s 13, so Smokey does not find a four year old’s antics cute whatsoever. 😉

Well, I did see them BOTH sleeping on my daughter’s bed the other day, with only about ten inches between them, so…………Shhhhh! Don’t tell Smokey I saw it! 😉 Most Smokey is put out with me because I had the audacity to bring home our other cat Elsa, then Holly, and then Teeger, all without asking HER once if she wanted more animals. Secretly, I think she just likes to complain just to be heard.

I am not sure you would love either. One is very shy — and hits out at male humans! And the other one was shy when she came here, has a camouflage black over her brownish fur – and had to be trained to become a cuddler.

I am not swapping any of those two – sorry, the tom is with me for nine years since March and the female has already 4 years here since March. So no swap. Luna is cute, but no match to my conquests – and to befriend those two was a conquest.

Oh, thank you, Luna! I consider you amongst my closest friends, too. We cats have to stick together!!
And it’s so nice someone else finally understands how much work goes into a blog. All of my siblings think it’s just fun and games. They don’t think about the countless hours of missed naps and the meals that go untouched so I can get the next post published before my moms come home. It’s work!

Having your own account sure allows freedom of cat-expression. Nevertheless, I’ll fill in as needed. Luna is enjoying her fifteenth nap since that post, but she did seem a bit perturbed at the prospect of not touching a meal. Everything else in this world, for Luna, are merely distractions to help stave off hunger before the next meal. She also wondered what your moms would possibly need your computer for when they get home.

Luna sounds like she has a pretty good gig – getting to eat, sleep, AND have a blog that you do the bulk of the work for. Maybe I could negotiate something like that?

You probably can. Cats underestimate their powers of negotiation. I’m not sure how talkative you are, but the blank silent stare is generally all you need to get the upper paw in the majority of your dealings. Luna has pretty much all the major comforts in life, but she keeps her skills honed by frequently bartering purrs for chicken-flavored cat treats.

And therein lies my concern. I can’t even get treats implemented for us felines. Until I can negotiate that simple “amenity,” I’m afraid enjoying the fruits of my blog sans the work is a distant dream.

Actually, cats tend to gravitate toward good lighting (sunbeams). I just had another photo-session with her now, since I saw her looking cute and lazy. Seizing opportunities! If you see any action shots, with Luna jumping or running, generally that’s using the cat treats… crunchy things which are also good for cleaning her teeth 🙂

She’s sleeping now. Do we really want a DVD of that? Just trying to sell her book right now 🙂 9 copies sold so far! I heard there was a cat convention in LA that I just missed, also including the Simon’s cat guy and Lil Bub. I probably could have sold a truckload of them! Dammit.

OMG Luna (Your South American name shall now be LUNITA!), I promise I’ll give you many whisker massages! The only thing I can’t promise you is the nice Brazilian weather because I live in cold Switzerland. But there are many happy kitties here, and you will love the delicious and world famous Swiss milk! It’s very yummy. So, I’m catching a plane to steal you now.
