This neighborhood wasn’t always safe. The first day I moved in was the last day the good citizens of Luna City had to worry about the Maniacal Carrot.
This is going to require an inspiring theme song reminiscent of John Williams.
If you couldn’t tell, my little paws have been getting kind of talented.
Dooooo, doo duh doo doo….
DEE DUM doooo…..
Dooooo, doo duh doo doo….
me-OW MEOOOOWWWWW!!!!!
I am the Furry Crusader who emerges from the darkness…
I am both the claw of justice…
And the toothy terror…
I am the protector who stands watch over Luna City.
The only one who can fend off the evil that is the Maniacal Carrot…
Wait, what’s that?
I see Luna City is in danger! I must come to their rescue!
I hope I still remember how to fly. Here goes nothing…
Ahhhh!!!! Can’t land!
Fwoooooom!!!!! (cat landing noise)
Dooooo, doo duh doo doooooooo!!!!!
DEE DUM doooo…..
Now I must locate the villain!
I can see the destruction left in the Maniacal Carrot’s wake.
The poor citizens of Luna City. I am here for them. Now I must lie in wait.
I will surprise the Maniacal Carrot with my stealth and agility. It is, after all, a carrot.
Wait, what’s that! I saw orange! Time to attack!
Now I’ve got you! Dooooo, doo duh doo doooooooo!!!!!
RRRRK!!! Stuck!
The carrot could only have gone down here.
I will chase!
And fight!
I’M HERE CARROT!!!! TIME TO DIE!!!
Aha! Alas, I have caught you, Maniacal Carrot! Say your prayers, vegetable!
Chomp chomp chomp chomp die die die die!!!!
Whenever the good citizens of Luna City are in trouble, I, the Furry Crusader will protect them, watching over them, always.
Dooooo, doo duh doo doooooo…..me-ow meoooowwww (fade out)
And now for Luna’s end of post commentary:
Hey all, it was a fun adventure. My nose is a bit more orange, but, no matter. I was victorious! I’d like to give a shout out to:
James Schek, for being the first of many to come of my creepy Feedly stalkers,
Kyle Murao, for complimenting how pretty my new home looks,
Antara Sarkar, for giving me the time of day, despite how much she dislikes my species,
and Eric Bowersox, who ingeniously gets people to ask his fiancee programming questions.
I’ll do shoutouts for other readers in future posts! Meow!

Fortunately for Luna and her city, carrots don’t really jump or move in any way, so they’d probably stay on the truck.

“who ingeniously gets people to ask his fiancee programming questions”
Despite the fact that her bio says DON’T DO THAT! 🙂

I saw that, and was wondering why in the word people would ask her programming questions. Luna suggested you were behind it. I think she’s being silly, but her instincts are usually spot on.

I swear I’m not behind it. People must think she’s absorbed some of my knowledge just by living with me. She’s a reasonably competent user, and a pretty smokin’ gamer, but a programmer…she is not.

I just figured you were getting revenge on her for something.

Hmm. Luna thinks you sound like a villain. Prepare for chomp.

This is film noir material. Luna is a feline Barbara Stanwyck with a hint of batgirl. Congratulations on the new house.

Definitely could be the reincarnation of Barbara, I agree. 🙂 Thanks, by the way. We’ve been in the new house for a couple months now. The new home I was talking about was the website. We like both though!

Luna, I am so happy to see you installed in your new home here on the net, and entering upon a new crusade. The grey background suits you, and no one should doubt the seriousness of a soul with eyes that reflect so precisely the shadows cast by the window screen. The orange carrots have no chance at all!

I was originally going for colors that I took from Luna’s fur, but this theme isn’t configurable that way until I pay another $30. It can at least use brighter text. But for now, I do think it looks good, so not going to change it for now unless it’s a problem.

Suave. Luna gives Batman a run for his money.

Yeah, she’s not as good at the martial arts, but Luna City is much smaller than Gotham, so I think she can handle it.

I knew Luna City would be safe!

Well, it’s probably more safe when Luna is NOT trying to fly. But yeah, she tries her best 😀

Dear Luna–
Leela and I have been following you for some time. You’re tied-for-first with another cat (someone named Squishy). Please keep posting more pictures and stories of your many adventures. Keep fighting for Truth, Justice and the American Short-hair way.

We always wondered if it was just our imaginations when we saw a cat that looked like Leela in a black car peering at us from across the street. I take it that you were driving?

Go Luna! But keep an eye on Squishy. He may give you a tough competition.

I agree. The force is strong in this young Jedi. It’d be weird to see Squishy around “Luna City” though. Perhaps no one really wants to move into a Squishy City though.
