Guys? Are we ready?
You can white-balance the camera on my nose.
Meow. The white patch on my nose. Use that.
Much better. So are we good? I’ll start? Purr!
Hello Lunatics! It is I, Luna, the Little Chomper!
You might have been wondering why there hasn’t been a new Luna-post here since Scott bought the telescope!
It’s not because I’m currently stuck in a bathroom…
And rest assured, he has not used the telescope too much. At first, it was just too cloudy, but then…
I’m gonna let you in on a little secret, okay?
You can’t tell anyone. Seriously.
Scott and I have been working on the book “Luna, the Little Chomper”. It’s the freakin’ cat’s pajamas!
Are you listening to this? *sniff*
It’s like the coolest thing ever.
I’ll tell you more while I try to get out of this bathroom that Scott accidentally locked me in.
We’re self publishing, you see, and it’ll be sold on Amazon.
100 full color pages!
FIVE of our best short stories yet!
Silly humor.
Dark humor.
Meow! How do I get in this thing? This must be the exit.
What’s up there anyway?
Right… back to the stories!
Stories with defeat and victory!
War between foes!
Stories of achievement!
Showing a cat can do anything!
And!
We do a kick ass parody of a Gwen Stefani song.
I totally love Gwen Stefani.
I would let her pet me.
What’s up here!
This is totally not a door…
And the jump looked SO COOL! What a waste.
And the last story Scott wrote is really fun! I make three wishes.
There’s a sink and a mirror here, and lots of stuff I shouldn’t eat. Trust me, I did not wish for this.
And the really awesome news! Scott has EIGHTY pages done! Just one more story to go!
It’s got a lot more story than your average Luna-post!
Each story with thousands of words! And he’s been doing great with the pictures too.
SUPER NINJA JUMP!!!
RRRRRR!!!
And ninja cat landing!
And no trap door.
Ninjas are supposed to have trap doors to escape in. I will fire my producer.
It should be a couple of weeks before this book goes online. Scott’s working very hard on it.
But trust me, he knows what he’s doing! The book’ll be totally awesome for your coffee table.
But for now, I’ll sit here on this toilet, until Scott finishes our final story…
…and remembers where he abandoned me.
Woohooo! How many extra treats do I have to send to get a signed copy when they come out?

Oh gee… They get printed on demand. I’d have to order one, find some sort of safe ink to put on Luna’s paws, to stamp it, and then ship it out to you. That’s a lot of treats I’m afraid. We are getting low on treats though.

I’ll send you some special Katzenworld treats for one? 😉

If you can get Amazon to accept Katzenworld treats, I’m all up for it 🙂 I think a postcard might work better for the autographs. Hmmm.

You could always get write on stickers for the autographs and send them separately for special occasions? I recently went to a professional book launch and noticed all their signatures were stickers stuck in the books 😮

This is possible. Now I have to figure out if there’s anything humane that I can stamp a paw print with. My signature would seem boring.

Hmmmm there must be some kind of colour that is safe. Maybe cat food gravy? LOL

I think I have a way. I could use something temporary… just once… and then can just copy and print it on the stickers. I have a couple ideas, but gravy is a good backup plan.

Well, you are her loyal amanuensis, so maybe a Luna paw print sticker and your autograph would be the best solution.

What are Luna’s favorite treats? Does she know that there are no treats on her (your) Amazon wishlist? How could such a thing be?

She goes crazy for any flavor of Greenies dental treats… probably just as crazy for pieces of dry cat food. Those are treats as far as she’s concerned as well. And she likes her wet cat food for normal meals. Goes crazy for that as well. And she really likes slices of turkey, and turkey meatballs, and shrimp and scallops. And whatever else she can steal and eat. But you bring up a important point. Luna’s birthday is in 9 days. Going to have to post about that. Last year, Luna got a ton of toys/treats from online, but I’m not sure how much she plays with toys in general for. She’s always loved little crumpled up pieces of wire the most. So for now, I figured what she really wanted was a book published about her 😀 Although we’ll have some sort of celebration too.

How can I send her a birthday present?

I’ll do a post later, but I had this registry from her last birthday and have since updated it. http://www.amazon.com/registry/giftlist/3TS2M5K5BDEG … April 28th! Big birthday coming 😀

Have you filed a ship-to address with Amazon to send this to? I tried to send something but there is no option for “send to default address.” It tells me I have to choose from my current list of addressees or enter another address, which of course I do not have. Usually when I send someone something off their list there is a line under the name that says something like “ship-to: [Name], [City]”

Thanks for beta-testing this 🙂 I found where the “Update list profile” screen could be accessed. All fixed! And sorry about that.

Thanks so much Terri! I’ll have you know, the final story is finished and Luna has been let out of the bathroom. It’s turning out so well! 🙂

So cool!! You know, you could crowd-fund the book!

I hate crowd-funding 🙂 Believe me, I tried before for my filmmaking. It takes a monumental effort, spamming everyone you know repeatedly for 5-10 each, which they try to “accidentally forget about”. And with Kickstarter, it’s all or nothing, and Kickstarter doesn’t let any strangers see your project until you have the momentum that shows you don’t really need Kickstarter.
Plus, there’s no reason to. It’s all free, print-on-demand, through Amazon CreateSpace. I figured it was a no-brainer when I put 2 and 2 together. I had all the pictures I’d need and took a bunch more. The only challenge was figuring out how to do the formatting right. I think I finished redesigning one story, and have 4 more to go. Hoping to have the book out the door this month 😀

Luna does usually seem more content in a bathroom than I’d expect. Within a minute of the door swinging shut, she’s asleep. It’s like the bathroom has auto-shut-off lights, except it’s a cat.

Hmm, my moms should try sticking my sister Ethel in the bathroom. Maybe we could all finally get some peace!
